A bit about me

Let's get into it..
Growing up I can remember there was always a camera or camcorder in Mom and Dad's hands, ready to capture all of the memories we were making as a family. Looking back, I think the sentimental value held by my old family photos and videos could be the reason I've always been such an eager recorder of life. At any given opportunity you'll catch me taking photos or videos, I almost feel like I never want to forget life in those moments and I love nothing more than going back and having a good old scroll and a laugh or even a cry at the good times now passed.
I was first exposed to professional photography during my time studying at college and then again at University and I went on to achieve an accreditation in digital photography and my degree in graphic design & illustration.
Pinstripe Photography was born from an idea sitting in my living room in 2021, we'd been through a global pandemic and times were hard, we were rebuilding. Thinking of my creative skills and true passion for photography the idea was generated but I had to think of a really cool business name. I'm a huge plant lover and practically have a mini rainforest of indoor plants at home. I was thinking up a business name and spotted my favourite and most beautiful plant, the Pinstripe Calathea - That's really where the name Pinstripe Photography came from and the rest is history.
I currently work in communications as a full time employee and Pinstripe Photography is my own business and kind of a HUGE deal! No other job will beat photographing real life love stories and documenting your most special moments and life celebrations. I'm a lover at heart with a 'big softy' demeaner and so I'm extra invested in my couples stories and really thrive when taking pictures. I sweat the small stuff when photographing as I want your photos to be nothing short of perfect and I'll always go above and beyond for my clients to get those epic shots and create some frame worthy magic! My happy place is truly behind the lens, collaborating with others and I simply love to get stuck in no matter what.
I understand the intimacy involved in capturing your precious moments and so can relate to your needs and will adapt to your style. Authenticity is everything to me and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible, have fun and just be in the moment with your loved one.
Often on wedding days, the time you get together to have your couple photos is the first quiet time you get with your spouse. It's an intimate and sacred time for you to catch up on the day so far, I'll be on hand to give you gentle nudges and some guidance during the shoot but we'll discuss how you want this part of the day to go during our consultations. Most importantly, I want you to feel relaxed and have that time to catch up with each other while I capture those beautiful newlywed shots for you – Whether you're getting married or having a couples shoot, my aim is to help you savour the moment and walk away with a photographic time capsule that you will treasure for years to come.
Now let's get personal...
If you've gotten this far then thanks for reading, I thought I'd take it down a notch so you could learn a little more about me off the job. By now you'll probably realise that I'm a massive fan of all sentimental things and that I'm a huge lover of love. Side note: I love to watch films and will always cry at the romcoms! I'm also big on food and trying new cuisine which means snacks are always welcome on or off the job!
On a more personal note, I come from a large family and it's my biggest blessing. I'm the middle child of a gang of 5 and I have so many fond memories of childhood and believe my siblings and cousins were my first real besties! I'm an Aunty to 5 gorgeous little ones and my heart feels most full when I'm spending time with my family. I'm also a bit of a gamer and love gaming! I've been a PlayStation and Nintendo fan since childhood (sorry to any Xbox fans, although Gears is epic!). I'm a huge adventure seeker and truly love the great outdoors. Hiking and exploring new places with my camera in hand is just my thing and I like to travel as often as I can which is one of the perks of being able to work as a photographer.
I ADORE animals and would love to have a pet again someday (previous kitty owner). I'm torn between having another cat or getting a dog and so may end up bringing both home! I might add that pets are always welcome on my shoots if ever you want to bring your fur baby along for the fun.
Any who, I hope you've enjoyed learning a bit more about me and seeing if I'm the right photographer for you. If you have any questions or need some more information then please don't hesitate to reach out, I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks again for being here and for visiting my page I really do hope to work with you soon,
Sian xoxo
